Getting Paid at oDesk

It's has been a month since I started setting up my oDesk account. I have taken a couple of exams to support my cv and everything about the account is ok. I have submitted applications to various job postings but the more crucial part is where I have to wait for the clients to hire me and for them to approve the articles that I wrote.

oDesk is the first where I really exerted some effort to be hired. My regular job didn't require me to apply since I was employed the moment I graduated from the school. Another thing that I am so happy about is that in oDesk, I get to choose what job I want. Of course I only applied to jobs where I know I have the capacity to attend to.

So there, more oDesk stories to share in some other post but today, i am just so happy that I had my first pay. I wrote four four-hundred-word (4x 400 word) articles last Friday and I was paid one dollar for each article. The pay is not that big but it's what my client and I have agreed upon and I am fine with that considering that I'm still new to oDesk and that I am still on the process of creating my reputation.

Four dollars for the eight to ten hours I spent writing (while multitasking) the articles is not much, but for now I am just so happy to know that somebody likes the way I write. And I got paid too! As one energy drink would say, "great things start from small beginnings!".

Long Over Due Post

i miss uuuuuuuuu!

i just that it's been quite a while since my last post. i have been so busy writing. a have written a lot of articles. this and that but i didn't actually enjoyed it as much as i enjoy posting in this blog. what kept me busy is that im doing (oh yes, im doing it!)  a newsletter and i've been writing stuffs in tagalog. i died! errrrrr

the good thing about it is that i am also the one doing the layout thingy so i get to once again practice layouting and keep my creative juices flowing.:) it's just so good to redo things which i used to do back in high school when i was a member of the school organ.

that's it for now. i just came from a drinking sesh with fellow cavaliers and im darn tired from all day work+bubuweekend. wink wink

International Women's Day

according to the news, today is international women's day. or this month is international women's month. not so sure which is which.

even ms google celebrates IWD!

I always wondered about the significance of this special day. i am not so aggressive and revolutionary about it so i decided to make a significant milestone in my bloglife related to today's celebration.

oh well, im not surprised that you're not surprised.;p just notice how my blog has transformed.:)

i changed my template design to something more serious. although that doesn't mean my posts will be more serious next time.hahaha i decided to have this changes for the following reasons:


the blog title- from of random thoughts and ideas. that was just so natural. thinking out loud is all the same so natural but i can sense some excitement out of its simplicity.

the theme- well i thinks it's about time to get that tranquility that i have always looked for. i can compare the design to what the beach would look like at night. the darkness that surrounds the water is randomly disturbed by the innocent beauty of sparkles from the beach lights or the lamps that are used by the fishermen nearby.
